Dear Friends and
Neighbors,
The Board of
Directors welcomes you to another baseball/softball season in
East Meadow. For those returning, welcome back, for those new
families, we are glad you joined. Our goal is for your child to
have a fun experience, make new friends, and learn fundamentals
and sportsmanship.
As general
information, some of our teams will be starting Saturday April
14th our younger players will start Saturday April 21st.
Within a few days our League wide schedule will be posted on our
web site: www.eastmeadowbaseballsoftball.com
Our Banner Parade
this year is Saturday May 5th, as always we will be
gathering at the Veterans Pool on Prospect Ave at 9:00 AM to
march to our Complex. Please have your child in full uniform to
march carrying their banner with the name of their sponsor.
Picture weekend is Saturday and Sunday May 19th and
20th Your child’s manager will be given specifics as
to what day and time. We will be holding our annual Memorial
Weekend Tournament starting Friday May 25th, as well
as hosting the Nassau County Challenger Tournament on Saturday
June 9th.
As some of you may
or may not know, our complex is maintained solely by volunteers,
everything from picking up garbage, cleaning bathrooms to
grooming the fields. Any and all help would be appreciated in
keeping East Meadow as the best complex on Long Island. As a
reminder, parking or driving on the complex is forbidden.
There are parking lots located next to Challenger and Gaglione
Fields.
This year our world
famous snack bar will be serving breakfast items on Saturday and
Sunday donated by “A Taste of Home Bakery” and various food
items donated by” Borelli’s Restaurant”.
We are always
looking for volunteers, not only to coach or manage but those
who can offer various other skills to help keep costs down in
running the Association. Again this year we did not increase
registration for our Spring season and have offered free Fall
intramural ball for all those who have registered for our Spring
season.
